MIXED NEWS ON WEST NILE VIRUS

The good news on the spread of West Nile virus is that Michigan has had no reported cases of the disease this season.  The bad news is that mosquito breeding grounds contaminated with the virus are more arre larger this year.  Whether there is any relationship to this and the City's suspension of the mosquito control program and the cut-back in park maintenance is not known.  We'll need to get more information on that.
